We’ll be gathering together for some time of fellowship, worship and listening to the Word together.

Hello Everyone!

Welcome back to school. Hope you’re all starting off this semester strong. As we mentioned at the Christmas Party last semester, we’re kicking off the semester with the annual ICF WINTER RETREAT! It’ll be a good time to see each other, learn more about God and take a break before school begins to take over. This year we are praying for God to REKINDLE the hearts of his children again that we may all draw near to Him and give our all as we start this year.

Our speaker will be Robin Koshy, a graduate from Moody Bible Institute who has a great heart for the Indian community and who has been living his life for Jesus. Him and his wife (Jenny, former Illini) will be joining us for the weekend.

WHAT: ICF WINTER RETREAT–Theme: REKINDLE: Light the Fire in Our Hearts Again

WHEN: SATURDAY, JAN 31 from 9:30 AM till 5:00 PM

WHERE: Asian American Cultural Center (1210 Nevada Street, Urbana, in between Mathews and Goodwin http://illinois.edu/ricker/CampusMap?target=search&building=1145)

BREAKFAST AND LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED!!! PLEASE try to stay for the whole time just so you personally can make the most of the retreat. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact your fig leaders or reply back to this e-mail. Hope to see you there!

Hope everyone had a restful break and you’re ready to start the 2nd semester!
We thought we should get together before class gets the best of us so here’s the plan.

TOMORROW Wednesday 1/21: Meet at the Illini Union Downstairs Food Court (by the Rec Room Area) at 7:30pm
and we’ll find fun ways to hang out and catch up =)

Christmas Party-Sunday, December 7

Hope everyone had restful breaks with lots of good food and fun times. You may be sad for the not so fun weeks ahead of schoolwork and finals, BUT do not worry! ICF’s annual Christmas party is a GREAT study break and a time for all of us to hangout before the semester ends. Here are the details:

All Campus is tomorrow! It’s a night where all the Christian organizations from campus come together to worship as one. It’s open to people of all denominations and will be a night of hearing God’s Word, worship and spending time in fellowship with other Christians on this campus. Please try to come out, even if you can’t make it for the whole thing. =)

Upper Room-September 4

We’ll be having our very first “Upper Room” of the school year! Those new to ICF may be wondering, “What in the world is that?”. ”Upper Room” is a time for all of us to fellowship together in an informal way, sing songs, hear a talk and learn more about God and each other through small groups. Curtis Orchard on Saturday!

Just as we announced at the last Upper Room, we will be going to Curtis Orchard this weekend!! Curtis Orchard is a place every U of Ier should go before graduating and is a a fun-filled place with apple/pumpkin picking, a petting zoo, an obstacle course, a corn maze and other fun activities. For more info check out www.curtisorchard.com . So, we invite you all to come out and have fun, laugh, enjoy fellowship, do some apple picking and just enjoy this weather. Here are the details…

WHAT: CURTIS ORCHARD
WHEN: THIS SATURDAY, OCTOBER 11th, 2:30-4:30pm

WHERE: MEET AT the ILLINI UNION for rides NO LATER THAN 2:20PM (Green St Side–Circle Drive)

Note: Many of us will participate in the Corn Maze and Obstacle Course. If you are one of these people, or think you might want to have fun at Curtis Orchard, bring $4 for the maze and $1 for the obstacle course =). Also, if you want to come back with DELICIOUS apples, apple donuts, cider, etc. bring extra cash for that as well.

We’ll be driving to Curtis Orchard together so MAKE SURE YOU COME ON TIME to the Union. So, take some time off from your crazy schedule and come hang out for a little bit. If you have any questions, please call your FIG leaders or e-mail us back!
